Union Srings Baptist Church Leadership

Union Springs Baptist Church is blessed to have a leadership team dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Our vision for our leaders is that all our leaders become devoted Disciples, knowing and understanding that through a relationship with God, the revelation of the Gospel is gained (Gal. 1:11-12).  The following are brief bios of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.

Dr. Kathy H. Hubbard

Associate Minister

Dr. Hubbard is a God fearing woman. If one is looking for a biblical description of her, it can be found in Romans 12:6-8. She uses her gifts according to the grace given her. She serves and teaches according to the grace given her. She provides herself generously, mercifully, and cheerfully. Her love is sincere... she is about good. She is a devoted child of God. She serves the Lord with zeal. She is joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. She was born and raised in Morgan County. She is the wife of Johnny Hubbard, and they're the parents of four children, Marnese, Aris, Jarvis, and Nicosia. She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of ten, under the leadership of her Mother, Pastor Stella Head, at New Life Ministries Holiness Church. She has been living for Jesus Christ ever since. She has served as a praise and worship leader since the age of fourteen to the present day. She accepted her calling to preach the gospel on January 4, 2009. She is a Union Springs Baptist Church member in Rutledge, Georgia, where the Rev. Robert Terrell Jr. is the pastor. She serves as the Minister of Music. She received a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Physical Education.

She also received a Specialist in Leadership and Administration from Georgia College and State University. She is a teacher at the Morgan County Elementary School, where she is able to practice her God given talents daily. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Ministry from Sure Foundation Theological Institute. Hubbard has a Doctorate in Biblical Studies from the Andersonville Theological Seminary. Most of all, she has the Holy Spirit, which supersedes any of these natural gifts that man or woman can ever possess. Min. Hubbard loves reading the Word of God, singing, and listening to gospel music, which inspires her to minister the Word of God to the people.

Pastor Robert L. Terrell, Jr.,

Senior Pastor

Pastor Robert L. Terrell, Jr., who is often know as Pastor T, at 55 years old has given half of him life to the service of others in Ministry.  He is thankful to God for great biological parents R. L. and Hazel Terrell.  They are devoted to the Lord and brought him up to love the Lord and love God’s people.  They also instilled in him that he can be anything he wanted to be but must work hard and have determination.

Public ministry officially began for Pastor T at the age of 27 years old.  In 1994, he was ordained in the Deacon Ministry under the direction of his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Hoke L. Smith, Jr. Pastor Emeritus of the Calvary Baptist Church of Madison, Georgia.

Two years later, Pastor T, then 29 years old, was assigned by Pastor Smith to chair the Deacon Ministry and became the youngest deacon in the history of Calvary as chair of this Ministry. Not fully understanding the call on his life at the time, Pastor T was always drawn to evangelism and street ministry.  Often driving Pastor Smith to visitations, hospitals, and visits to the sick and shut in.  He also often accompanied deacons and preachers from area churches to witness on the streets of Madison and Athens.

In 2000, Pastor T received his call to preach the Gospel with the heart of a pastor.  In May 2003 at 35 years old, he became the senior pastor of the Union Springs Baptist Church in Rutledge, Ga.  He was one of the youngest senior pastors to serve the Morgan County area.

Pastor T is blessed to have grown up in the same community in which he is a pastor.  In addition to making his home in Madison, Georgia; He shares his life with his wife Toni, his son Robert III (Trey), and his grandson Robert IV (TJ).
